As I'm writing, Marni is showing in Milan, so more about that later. However, my favorite in Milan is always Jil Sander. The new designer, Rodolfo Paglialunga is doing a great job staying true to the house aesthetics as well as trying something new. The classic Jil Sander pieces got a twist, with cuts and slips. The collection is a bit softer than we are used to. I love it, it's just what I want when it comes to Jil Sander. The color theme is beautiful and those beige looks are to die for.
Then we have another Milan classic. Bottega Veneta, who has always been a dreamy favorite of mine. For spring 2016 Tomas Maier was inspired by the nature. The farther he can get from an urban environment, he says, “the better it gets.” Lovely. The collection is a bit more causal and dressed down than we are used to, however, I'm loving it just as much. And I must mention the make-up, so beautiful.
